Power crisis leads to 75% decline in industrial production

Shahid Kamili, president of the Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir, said that an ongoing power crisis in Kashmir has caused a massive 75% decline in industrial production and increased the losses of industrialists in the region, Kashmir Convener reported citing Kashmir News Observer. The region has continued to suffer from a power crisis for over a month now. Mr. Kamli said that more than 500 sawmills have been affected, while the packaging, furniture, and cold storage industries have also been hit.
