BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aviva’s general insurance premiums up 12%

U.K.-based insurer Aviva PLC’s general insurance business posted a 12% year-on-year increase in gross written premiums to £5.27 billion ($6.7 billion) in the first half of this year, Reinsurance News reported. The insurer’s total operating profit increased by 8% year-on-year to £715 million in the first half of the year.
