BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

In a Barbie world, insurance is expensive

Luxurious, shiny and pink, with that hip California aesthetic, insurance insiders can only wonder: how much would it cost to insure Barbie’s glamorous lifestyle?

Erie Insurance crunched the numbers on Barbie’s dream life: her 4,900-square-foot dreamhouse that would cost upwards of $22 million in the real world, a pink customized Corvette convertible, 30-foot motorhome and more.

In a press statement on why Barbie should consider bundling her policies to save money, Erie said her home, with all the high-end extras and finishes, would cost anywhere from $7,000 to $8,000 a year to insure. Her car and camper, with all its bells and whistles, would cost $22,763 a year.

The insurer goes on to say that if “Barbie was able to secure policies with Erie, she would save more than $4,000 by bundling! She could use those savings to buy, I don’t know...maybe a pink motorcycle?”
