According to a report by security awareness training platform KnowBe4, Inc., organizations in the U.K. collectively experienced a 77% year-on increase in cyber attacks in 2022, with healthcare the most frequently targeted sector, Care Home Professional reported. A survey of 100 cyber security managers in the country’s health sector found that 81% of healthcare organizations were hit by ransomware in 2022. Furthermore, the impact of breaches is also proving to be more far-reaching in terms of cost and time than previously thought.
