Hub acquires seven Michigan agencies

Hub International Ltd. said Thursday it has acquired Troy, Michigan-based Project Motown Holding Co., an agency platform that owns seven agencies.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition comprises Johnston Lewis Associates Inc., Business Benefits Resource LLC, Joseph Aiello & Associates Inc., T. Souphis Insurance Consulting LLC, Custom Results Corporate Consulting, Creative Benefit Solutions and Health Insurance Consultants.

Project Motown has more than 60 employees and specializes in commercial coverage, employee benefits, employer compliance requirements, human resources technology, employee wellness and wealth management services, Hub said.

Executive leaders of the agencies and their staff will join Hub Midwest East.

The executives are: Joe Aiello, president, Joseph Aiello & Associates; Jim Bokshan, CEO, Health Insurance Consultants; Ed Clink, managing partner, Business Benefits Resource; Diane Christensen, principal, Custom Results Corporate Consulting; Greg Liposky, president, and Steve McCain, partner, at Creative Benefit Solutions; Steve Rosser, executive vice president and partner, Jay Sawmiller, principal and managing director, and Dan Wilhelm, vice president and partner, of Johnston Lewis Associates; and Ted Souphis, founder, T. Souphis Insurance Consulting.
