Gallagher buys Florida brokerage

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Tuesday it has acquired Insurance by Ken Brown Inc.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Altamonte Springs, Florida-based broker specializes in the construction and swimming pool industries for clients in the Southeast U.S., a Gallagher statement said.
Ken Brown, Derek Brown and the brokerage’s employees will remain in their current location under the direction of Peter Doyle, head of Gallagher's Southeast retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
Insurance by Ken Brown has about 20 employees, according to an email from a Gallagher spokesman.
