The Hamblen County, Tennessee, commission is infusing $600,000 to its self-insurance fund for health care benefits to help fight a rising deficit, reports the Citizen Tribune. The self-funded plan is administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, but claims have exceeded premiums being paid into the plan since 2020.
