BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

P&I club sees earned premiums rise nearly 6%

U.K.-based smaller vessel protection and indemnity provider The Shipowners’ Club reported a 5.9% year-on-year growth in earned premiums, net of reinsurance, to $236.4 million in 2022, while its underwriting result grew to $6.2 million from $2.9 million in 2021, Sea News reported. The P&I club reported a combined ratio of 97.4% compared to 98.7% in 2021.
