Alliant introducing reinsurance division

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. said Tuesday it would launch a reinsurance brokerage division, Alliant Re.
The reinsurance division will provide products and services including facultative insurance, automatic and semiautomatic reinsurance structures, deductible buy-downs, captives, managing general underwriters and individual risk placements and programs, the Irvine, California-based broker said in a statement.
In a separate statement, the broker said that Nicholas Ambriano has joined Alliant Insurance Services as executive vice president, managing director, Alliant Re, in New York and will build out the new division’s staffing.
He was most recently executive managing director in New York with Aon PLC, where he oversaw national facultative reinsurance operations, according to the statement.
Alliant also shows a number of job postings on its website for reinsurance facultative positions, including account manager, account manager lead, account executive lead and others in both New York and Chicago.
