BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Sompo International gets Swiss insurance branch license

The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority has granted an insurance branch license to Bermuda-based insurer Sompo International Holdings Ltd., enabling it to write primary business and expand its operations in the country, Captive Insurance Times reported. Ralph Brand, president of Continental Europe insurance at Sompo International, said that the development is an important step as the insurer builds up its Continental Europe regional insurance operation.
