NFP hires AIG exec for executive VP role

NFP Corp. on Wednesday said it has named former American International Group Inc. executive Tim DeSett executive vice president, property and casualty.
In his new position, Leawood, Kansas-based Mr. DeSett will focus on organic growth, new business and acquisition opportunities. He will report to Ed O’Malley, executive vice president, head of insurance brokerage and consulting, an NFP statement said.
Mr. DeSett was most recently head of distribution and field operations, North America for AIG. Prior to AIG, Mr. DeSett was with Lockton Cos. LLC.
NFP also said that Henry Lombardi, executive vice president, property and casualty, turns his focus to revenue generation, business development, complex risk, strategic accounts, and market and insurer relationships, the statement said.
