Premiums up 28% in Moldova

Data from Moldova’s National Bureau of Statistics showed that local insurers’ aggregate gross written premium increased by 28% year-on-year to 2.47 billion Moldovan lei ($134 million) in 2022, SeeNews reported. Local insurers’ pre-tax profit fell by 8.7% year-on-year to MDL156.2 million, while revenues increased by 47% year-on-year to MDL4.07 billion.
