HDI Global’s premiums up nearly 18%

Germany-based insurer HDI Global SE’s premium income increased by 18% year-on-year to €8.9 billion ($9.56 billion) in 2022, driven by new business growth in its specialty line portfolios, and rate adjustments, Reinsurance News reported. The insurer’s operating profit increased 28.6% year-on-year to €252 million.
