BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Belgian insurers writes over $32 billion in insurance premiums

Belgian insurance association Assuralia said that local insurers written premiums grew 2% year on year to €30.5 billion ($32.15 billion) in 2022, with almost half of these premiums associated with non-life insurance, The Brussels Times reported. Premium payments for general insurance witnessed a sharp increase in 2022, with people in the country requiring protection particularly from increasing natural disasters like the 2022 storms Eunice and Franklin and the summer 2021 floods.
