Reinsurance market sees best underwriting conditions in over a decade

According to Aki Hussain, chief executive at Hiscox Ltd., the global reinsurance market is undergoing a seismic shift and witnessing the best rating underwriting conditions in more than a decade, Artemis reported. Mr. Hussain added the demand for global retro remains strong as alternative capital and some traditional capital retrenches. He expects significant growth in the reinsurance and insurance-linked securities business if the present market conditions persist.
