BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Local governments opting out of Colorado paid leave program

So far, more than 1,250 local governments have opted out of the contentious Colorado program requiring employers to provide paid family and medical leave, the Colorado Sun reports. That number stands to grow as the new March 31 deadline to opt out approaches. The voter-approved Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program, or FAMLI, gives employees access to 12 weeks of paid time off to care for a new child or serious family health issue, and workers can begin requesting leave in 2024.
