California-based broker extends footprint to Hawaii

Broker Alkeme Holding LLC on Thursday said it has acquired ACW Group LLC.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Honolulu, Hawaii-based ACW Group also has offices in San Francisco and La Quinta, California.
Established in 2009 by Russell Akamine, Kirk Christman and Jeffrey Wall, ACW has grown to more than 20 licensed agents focused on providing coverage for restaurants, artisan contractors, attorneys, condo associations, security guards and property managers, a statement said.
Curtis Barton, CEO of Alkeme, said in the statement that ACW opens up a new market in Hawaii and further bolsters Alkeme’s footprint in California.
Ladera Ranch, California-based Alkeme is the 64th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
