Port workers and truckers strike disrupts foreign trade

A strike over wages and working conditions launched by workers at Finland’s main ports and truck drivers on Feb. 15, is likely to disrupt foreign trade and further pressure an economy that is already struggling due to the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war, The Maritime Executive reported. The strike is expected to run indefinitely until the terms of the workers are met. Shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk AS has also suspended all vessel operations in Finnish ports.
