Venbrook hires from Axis Capital for specialty role

Private equity-backed brokerage Venbrook Group LLC said Thursday it has hired former Axis Capital Ltd. executive Bryan Meyer as executive vice president, programs, for its Venbrook Specialty Services LLC unit.
Mr. Meyer will manage all aspects of Venbrook’s specialty unit, including underwriting and binding authority for its program divisions, including Cardigan General Insurance Services LLC, ComStar General Insurance Solutions and Alpharetta Underwriters LLC in the newly created position, the Los Angeles-based broker said.
Mr. Meyer, based remotely in Minneapolis, was previously business development manager for programs at Axis Capital.
