Lancashire's premiums rise 35%

U.K.-based insurer and reinsurer Lancashire Holdings Ltd.'s gross written premiums increased 35% year-on-year to $1.7 billion in 2022, Artemis reported. Lancashire’s insurance segment saw gross written premiums increase by 22% year-on-year to $810 million in 2022, with higher premium witnessed in most of the classes during the year. The net impact of catastrophe, weather and large loss events totalled $308.8 million in 2022, excluding the impacts of reinstatement premiums.
