According to analysts at U.S.-based J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., the average sector Solvency II ratio for European insurers is estimated at 218% in the first half of 2022, up from 190% at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Reinsurance News reported. The ratios remained resilient in spite of macro uncertainties over the past two years, underscoring a steady improvement over the period.
