BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insured losses from cat events hit $39 billion in first half of 2022

U.K.-based Aon PLC's Global Catastrophe Recap report said that natural disaster events caused an estimated $39 billion in insured losses in the first half of 2022, which is 18% higher than the 21st century average of $33 billion, Xprimm reported. Total economic losses from these events stood at $92 billion, down 24% versus the average of $121 billion.
