Airlines’ planes still grounded over lack of funds

India-based InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. and Go Airlines (India) Ltd. have 20 and eight planes grounded, respectively, as of Jan. 15, as they struggle to pay for deliveries of engines, Moneycontrol reported. Go First and IndiGo grounded more than 50 aircraft in November on account of supply chain disruptions, which delayed engine deliveries by Pratt & Whitney Services Inc. Both airlines have suffered major losses due to delay in engine supply and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
