Cat bond issuances may hit $11 billion in 2023: GC Securities

Cory Anger, managing director at U.S.-based reinsurance intermediary GC Securities LLC, said that global catastrophe bond issuances could reach $11 billion this year if market conditions are conducive, Artemis reported. Ms. Anger added that there is a significant pipeline of deal flow building and over 30 sponsors, including potentially 10 new ones, could utilize the cat bond market this year.
