Helios' retained underwriting capacity increases 39%

U.K.-based Helios Underwriting PLC said that its retained underwriting capacity for 2023 will be £238.3 million ($289.7 million), a 39% increase from the start of January 2022, Reinsurance News reported. The overall portfolio, including the capacity reinsured, has increased to £296.6 million in size. Reinsured capacity fell 5% to £58.3 million over the same period.
