Trade body UKHospitality said that the hospitality sector could lose £2.5 billion ($3 billion) in sales due to ongoing train strikes, Foodservice Equipment Journal reports. The figure is £1 billion more than it previously predicted with sales falling by almost 50% during the week starting Dec. 12, 2022, due to rail strikes and cold weather.
