BroadStreet names Michael O’Connor CEO

BroadStreet Partners Inc. on Friday named Michael O’Connor as CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
He succeeds current CEO Ken Kirk, who will transition to vice chair, a newly created role from Jan. 1, the Columbus, Ohio-based brokerage said in a statement.
Mr. O’Connor joined BroadStreet as president in June. He had previously served as co-president at Aon PLC where he was on the company’s executive committee. He left Aon in 2020.
Mr. Kirk joined BroadStreet in 2013 and became CEO in 2021.
BroadStreet is the 14th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
