BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Munich Reinsurance America Inc. on Thursday said Anthony J. Kuczinski will retire as CEO of Munich Re US P&C Cos. and of Munich Re US Holding Inc., effective Dec. 31, 2022.

Mr. Kuczinski will then take on the role of strategic adviser, effective Jan. 1, 2023, to ensure a smooth transition in 2023, a statement said. He will have no immediate successor.

Instead, Munich Re has decided to establish a new Board of Management division, Global Specialty Insurance, which will encompass parts of Mr. Kuczinski’s area of responsibility, the parent company said in a separate statement out of Munich.

Beginning in January 2023, some primary insurance businesses that are part of the reinsurance segment will be managed together in Global Specialty Insurance, to be headed by Michael Kerner, who was newly appointed to the Board of Management, effective Jan. 1, 2023.

Munich Reinsurance America, led by CEO and President Marcus Winter, will report as a unit to Stefan Golling, responsible for global clients and North America in Munich Re’s Board of Management, the statement said.
