The French Senate has passed two identical amendments that are meant to improve risk coverage of French business by allowing the establishment of captive reinsurance companies, Captive International reported. Such self-reinsurance structures will be tax deductible and will help in improving coverage for risks for which reinsurance is hard to find, such as pandemics or cyber risks.
