AUB Group’s insurance broking unit BrokerWeb merges with ICIB

Insurance broker network AUB Group Ltd. has merged its insurance broking business BrokerWeb Risk Services with independent insurance brokerage ICIB Ltd. to create the fifth largest insurance broker in New Zealand, Verdict reported. The merged entity – ICIB Brokerweb Insurance and Risk Advisory – will be owned by AUB Group and senior management members. The merger is expected to expand the two brokers’ scale and capabilities, significantly.
