U.S.-based Fitch Ratings Inc.’s outlook for the Italian nonlife insurance sector in 2023 is deteriorating as it expects a surge in claims costs, especially in the motor insurance segment, Reinsurance News reported. Fitch also expects a slowdown in non-motor insurance business due to deteriorating macroeconomic environment.
