As COVID-19 cases rise again in China, the country’s strict zero-COVID-19 policy is threatening to disrupt car manufacturing again, with at least three major automakers suspending production, The Straits Times reported citing Bloomberg. The COVID-19 outbreaks and lockdowns have forced carmakers like Honda Motor Co. Ltd. and Volkswagen to halt productions. Strict lockdowns have also triggered worker protests.
