Liberty Mutual hires former Everest Re exec

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. on Monday named Maria Grace to the newly created position of global product leader, property, effective Jan. 3, 2023.
Previously, she was chief underwriting officer, global property, at Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Re Group Ltd. She rejoined Everest from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty in January and was named to the CUO position in June.
London-based Ms. Grace will report to Matthew Moore, president of underwriting for Liberty Mutual’s global risk solutions business.
Mr. Moore said in a statement the appointment completes the global product leader team within the office of underwriting, with Noel MacCarthy leading casualty and Tom Leahy leading financial lines.
