Swiss firm Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC's insurance linked strategies team said that catastrophe bond yield spreads will see a further increase of 50% to 80% in 2023 after Hurricane Ian, Artemis reported. An imbalance between supply and demand of reinsurance capital will drive pricing higher, causing coverage to become significantly more expensive, according to Credit Suisse.
