Gas supply crisis to affect industrial production in Pakistan

Khalid Tawab, chairman of Pakistan Iron & Steel Merchants Association, said that the gas supply crisis will badly affect industrial production, exports and economic activities, and lead to mass layoffs, Mettis Global Link reported. The announcement comes on the heels of two state-owned companies Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd. and Sui Northern Gas Company Ltd. deciding to stop supplying gas to industries.
