Solid income growth helps Talanx offset war, nat cat losses

German insurer Talanx AG said that the growth in its group net income and premiums in the first nine months of the year has helped in offsetting huge losses from natural disasters and reserves set aside for potential claims arising from the Russia-Ukraine war, Reinsurance News reported. The insurer’s gross premiums increased 18.5% in the third quarter of the year, while net income increased 8.6%.
