BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Steve Kinion on Wednesday was appointed captive director at the Oklahoma Insurance Department in Oklahoma City, a newly created position.

Mr. Kinion previously served as captive director for the Delaware Insurance Department for 13 years, but in August it was announced he was leaving.

Mr. Kinion first joined the Oklahoma insurance department in 1995 as counsel to the Oklahoma State Board for property and casualty rates and as an assistant general counsel. He also served as chairman of the board for the state’s health insurance high-risk pool from 2001 to 2008.

According to Business Insurance’s latest ranking, Oklahoma is the 43rd-largest captive domicile globally with 13 licensed captives at year-end 2021.
