Aircraft lessor sues 11 insurers in London over jets stuck in Russia

U.A.E.-based aircraft lessor Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Ltd. has sued 11 insurers, including Lloyd's of London, Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. and Chubb Ltd., in London to seek insurance payouts for 19 of its jets stuck in Russia due to sanctions imposed after the onset of war in Ukraine, Reuters reported. Dubai Aerospace had to write-off $576.5 million in the first half of the year for the planes stranded in Russia.
