BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insured nat cat losses already nearing $100 billion

A report by Aon PLC’s Impact Forecasting division showed that global insured losses stemming from natural catastrophes already reached $99 billion by the end of third quarter, and they are likely to surpass $100 billion this year, Artemis reported. Meanwhile, the economic losses from natural catastrophes and severe weather events have reached an estimated $227 billion so far this year, including Hurricane Ian damages.
