UnitedHealth Group reports strong growth in profits

UnitedHealth Group Inc. reported $5.3 billion in profit for the third quarter, fueled by revenue growth at its UnitedHealthcare and Optum Units, reports Fierce Healthcare. The health care giant reported $4.1 billion in profit in the prior-year quarter. UnitedHealthcare’s revenues grew 11% year over year to $62 billion, while Optum’s grew by 17% year over year, reaching $46.6 billion.
