Sanlam open to acquire small insurers

South African insurer Sanlam Ltd.’s is always open to acquiring smaller insurers as part of its long-running strategy according to a company exectuive, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing newspaper Independent. Meanwhile, Sanlam is currently finalizing its joint venture with German insurer Allianz SE to bolster their business in Africa, said Robert Dommisse, chief executive of Sanlam Pan Africa Life.
