Ireland’s High Court has upheld the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman’s decision holding Hiscox SA liable to reimburse a children’s play center for lost business income during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Irish Independent reported. Hiscox appealed to the High Court after the Ombudsman ruled that it was unreasonable of Hiscox to refuse BI insurance payout to play center, The Zone, which suspended its operations in early 2020 under the wider directives of the government during the COVID-19 pandemic.
