Bulgarian insurers post 5% drop in net profit

Data from Bulgaria’s Financial Supervision Commission showed that local nonlife insurers’ aggregate net profit dropped by almost 5% year-on-year to nearly 126 million Bulgarian levs ($64 million) in the first half of the year, SeeNews reported. Meanwhile, their combined gross written premiums increased by more than 10% year-on-year to approximately BGN1.5 billion.
