Hollard completes acquisition of CBA’s general insurance business

South Africa-based insurer The Hollard Insurance Co. Ltd.’s Australian unit has completed the acquisition of Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s CommInsure General Insurance business for $625 million Australian ($468 million) in cash plus deferred payments, Verdict reported. The acquisition is expected to help Hollard expand its insurance market share in Australia.
