Insurtech Kalepa forms MGA

New York-based insurtech Kalepa Corp. said Monday it is introducing a managing general agency, Kalepa Insurance Services, with capacity provided by units of Ambac Financial Group Inc.
Kalepa Insurance Services will provide excess casualty through a partnership with the Everspan Group, whose companies are units of New York-based Ambac.
The program focuses on small and midmarket policyholders, with policies distributed through exclusive wholesale broker partnerships, said Kalepa, which was founded in 2018.
