Capsized iconic floating restaurant uninsured

Aberdeen Restaurant Enterprises Ltd., owner of Hong Kong’s iconic Jumbo Floating Restaurant that capsized recently, has said that it will not receive any insurance payout for the capsized vessel as it is covered under a policy that warrants cover for third-party losses only, South China Morning Post reported. The Jumbo floating restaurant vessel was closed for good in 2020 and was being towed away from Hong Kong when it capsized near the Paracel Islands in South China Sea on June 19.
