David Flandro, head of analytics at U.K.-based Howden Broking Group Ltd.’s unit Hyperion X Ltd., said that fast-changing macroeconomic issues are expected pressure the hardening market to last longer than expected, Reinsurance News reported. Due to the rising secondary losses thanks to climate change, the insured loss event count has more than doubled over the last decade with inflation and adjusted losses doubling in the last five years.
