German actuarial firm Meyerthole Siems Kohlruss estimates insured losses of €500 million ($578 million) and €900 million, respectively, from windstorms Ylenia and Zeynep that battered Europe and the U.K. back to back in the past week, Artemis reported. The windstorms caused severe power and travel disruptions and damaged infrastructure and commercial and residential buildings.
