BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

A bill was introduced in the California state Senate on Wednesday that would reduce the 90-day time period to rebut injury claims to 60 days for all injuries and employees. For members of law enforcement and first responders, the time period would be reduced to 30 days.

S.B. 1127 would further increase the number of compensable weeks for temporary disability benefits from 104 weeks to 240 “without limitation as to time from the date of injury.”

The partisan bill was introduced and referred to the Committee on Rules, where it is pending.
