BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
Zurich North America said Friday it has named Jason Meador, currently head of captives, to lead its Rural Community Insurance Services Crop Insurance business, among other leadership changes.
Mr. Meador will succeed Mike Day, who is retiring, and will be responsible for RCIS’ direction and strategic planning, Zurich North America said in a statement.
Mr. Meador, who is based in Schaumburg, Illinois, will report to Zurich North America CEO Kristof Terryn. Mr. Day will stay on through March 31 to assist in Mr. Meador’s transition.
Dawn Hiestand, now head of operations for Zurich North America’s direct markets business serving auto dealers, has been named to replace Mr. Meador as head of captives, the statement said. Ms. Hiestand, who is based in Schaumburg, will report to Paul Horgan, head of U.S. national accounts.
Ms. Hiestand was a 2021 Woman to Watch honoree.
Alban Laloum, currently head of customer, distribution, marketing and regional management for Zurich Canada, has been named chief customer officer for Zurich North America, a new position. He will be based in Schaumburg.
Effective Feb. 1, Mr. Laloum will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the expanded Customer Office, which will now encompass distribution in addition to marketing and customer experience functions, and report to Mr. Terryn.
In addition, Kelly Kinzer, who is based in Schaumburg, has officially become head of construction, effective Jan. 1, after serving in an interim role since November, following Karen Reutter’s departure.
